What to Expect

When you've never arranged a funeral before, not knowing what to expect can add to the stress. Here's a guide to help you understand the process from first call to final farewell.

1
Immediately After Death

The First Call

When you contact us, we'll listen to your needs and answer immediate questions. If your loved one is at a hospital or aged care facility, we'll coordinate collection. If they're at home, we'll guide you on next steps and arrange collection when you're ready.

2
Day 1-2

Arrangement Meeting

We'll meet with you (at our office, your home, or via video call) to discuss arrangements. This includes choosing the type of service, selecting a coffin, deciding on burial or cremation, and planning the ceremony details.

3
Day 2-7

Preparation

We prepare your loved one for viewing if desired, coordinate with the cemetery or crematorium, arrange the venue, and organise all logistics. We also handle required paperwork and liaise with doctors for the death certificate.

4
Service Day

The Farewell

On the day of the service, our team manages all details so you can focus on family. We coordinate arrivals, manage the ceremony flow, and ensure everything runs smoothly according to your wishes.

5
After the Service

Follow-Up Care

For cremations, we arrange the return of ashes. We provide documentation and certificates, and remain available to answer questions or provide grief support resources.

You're Not Alone

Throughout this entire process, our team is by your side. There are no silly questions, and we'll never rush you. We understand this is one of the hardest things you'll ever do, and we're here to make it as manageable as possible.

Ready to Talk?

When you're ready, our compassionate team is here to guide you through every step.
